Work Background and Experience
My career has centered around providing quality service in Higher Education. I have worked as a Graduate Assistant with multiple professors, helped to edit research, provided support to students applying for Graduate Studies, and built my own expertise on diversity in in education.
My primary focus has developed into blending learning and technology together to create innovative solutions to increase accessibility and communication in Higher Education. I am highly skilled with employing principles of instructional design, project management, and adult learning principles to assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning solutions and trainings.
I have over 10 dedicated years of experience with higher education, learning and assessment. I have a Master's Degree in Instructional Design Technology as well as one in Educational Psychology with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis.
I have a completed a Certificate program in Professional Coaching along with a Graduate Certificate Program in Culturally Responsive Practices. Additionally, I have specialized education and experience in doctoral level School Psychology and Mental Health Counseling.
One of my career strengths is that I am very dynamic in my work. I have a lot of energy and positivity for improving higher education. Additionally, I have a strong balance of creative ideas with analytical skill. I like to push for ideas outside the box but also adhere to the highest standards of excellence.
Personal
I currently live outside of Albany, NY with my husband and my dog. My husband is from Peru and we enjoy traveling to visit his family there as well as internationally. We recently went to the Dominican Republic and have a trip planned for Egypt. I have lived in Costa Rica, China, and Spain and travelled to Hawaii, France, Ukraine, Mexico, Tibet, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Florida Keys, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Canada.
